Founded in 1995 by Bill Runzel IV, a fourth generation wire and cable entrepreneur, Lake Cable, LLC, produces a wide range of Utility, Industrial and Low Voltage wire and cable products.  Lake focuses on being service oriented with excellent quality products, fast service and an effective cellular manufacturing process.

The company’s industrial/utility product lines include power, control, instrumentation, thermocouple extension wire and constructions up to 2KV.  Our insulation systems include PVC/Nylon, XLPE/PVC, PE/PVC/PVC (20/10 CABLE), XLPE/CPE AND Low Smoke Zero Halogen materials.  These cable products are used in the most cutting edge technologies of power generation, energy distribution, building automation, fire systems and access control.

The low voltage product line includes security, fire alarm, HVAC, low capacitance and Avalanche brand sound, audio, video and automation cable products.

Lake Cable, LLC is headquartered in Bensenville, Illinois and employs the technique of “focused factory floor” to manufacture the products produced at both facilities.  Bensenville’s 75,000 square foot facility produces the companies low voltage electronic product line.  Lake Cable’s 100,000 square foot Utility and Industrial manufacturing facility is located in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Lake employs a highly knowledgeable staff from its professional sales organization armed with the wire and cable industry’s best computer software package (Rubicon) to the excellent engineering support of highly trained cable engineers and process specialists.

Lake also specializes in cable designs for critical uses and applications.  Our sales and engineering staff are experts in reviewing the specific customer application and designing the best possible product to solve the situation.
